Intra-district Transfer Information and Application
REQUEST TO TRANSFER TO ANOTHER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE DISTRICT
If you live within the boundaries of the Bear Valley Unified School District, but wish to request attendance at a school within the district other than your neighborhood school, you must submit a request for an Intra-District transfer. Intra-District applications will be accepted for the 2020-2021 school year between April 1, 2020 and May 22, 2020. A transcript and/or withdrawal grades, as well as attendance and behavior reports, are required when submitting an Intra-District application. Please print, scan, or email to your child's school of residence. Please feel free to contact your child's principal to discuss your child's request to transfer.
PERMIT CRITERIA FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS (GRADES K-5)
Academics: Students shall meet or exceed standards on formal assessments, including report cards and local assessments. Students shall make reasonable progress toward grade level proficiency.
Behavior: The student shall have no suspensions in the prior two semesters, shall have no more than three office visits in the prior two semesters, and shall have no "N" or "U" citizenship marks on the most recent report card.
Attendance: The student shall have no truancies and shall have no more than an average of one full-day absence, part-day absence, tardy, or late pick-up per month in the prior two semesters.
Other: Site administration has the authority to allow or deny intra-district request for any student due to extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
PARENT/GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS
A permit may be revoked at the discretion of the school administration at any time the conditions below are not met or when space is no longer available.
- Parents/Guardians assume all responsibility for transportation. District busing may not be available for transfer students.
- A student on permit must maintain regular attendance, good behavior and satisfactory achievement.
